"THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO" (Mozart)
Tri-Cities Opera
We will leave at 11:30 AM for a 3:00 PM curtain. The Tri-Cities Opera is
located in Binghamton, NY. The professional opera company performs in a
restored large theatre and features a complete orchestra, beautiful sets,
costumes and English super-titles, so you won't miss a word. Mini synopsis:
(Comic opera with lively music.) Act 1&2-Count Almaviva's valet, Figaro,
wants to marry Susanna, the household's maid. But, Marcellina, Dr. Bartolo's
old housekeeper wants to marry Figaro, too. Almaviva also has designs on
Susanna and Cherubino is girl-crazy. As a result, there is much hiding
behind and under things and jumping out of windows. Act 3-Bartolo and
Marcellina are found to be Figaro's parents and decide to get married with
Figaro and Susanna. Act 4-At night in the garden, Almaviva thinks he is
meeting Susanna; instead it is his wife! Dinner on own, on return trip.

Adina, a wealthy girl, is loved by both Nemorino, a shy peasant, and by
Sergeant Belcore. Nemorino Spends all his money for a love potion that
will, he thinks, cause Adina to love him in 24-hours. Unfortunately, Adina
promises to marry the Sergeant that night. Nemorino enlists in the army.
and spends his enlistment bonus on an elixir supposed to work in ½ hour.
Reckless and confident (from the wine (elixir), he attracts Adina, who buys
back his enlistment. Dinner on own, on return trip. Price for bus and

full refund*. Within 30 days, refunds will be determined after completion
of the trip and after all bills are paid. Efforts will be made to refund,
